On November 19, the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín attended the ceremony for the second anniversary of the opening of the Matanzas Scientific and Technological Park (PCT).
During her speech she said: "This entity was born from the effort, perseverance and commitment of many institutions, but particularly of the Cuban Communist Party, the university and the government of the province".
She highlighted the unconditional support of the business sector and particularly that of the company XETID.
The Minister of Communications said: "From the last period we must highlight the importance of the study of the social impact of the projects that are executed here, the deployment of the Digital Self-Service Stations that favor contact with the population and provide them with facilities and quality of life through the use of digital technologies, the Sports Intelligence suite, among others".                                               
"Several activities have been carried out with the aim of promoting Digital Transformation in the country and in particular in this province, a complex and challenging process that requires the effort and participation of everyone."

She highlighted the role played by the Park in the organization and participation in different events and activities such as: Informática 2022, University 2022, the First International Workshop on Digital Transformation of the Varadero Tourist Destination, FIHAV 2022, the Fair of Economic Actors of the Province of Matanzas, the Internet Governance Forums, the Workshops of exchanges of experiences on the management and impact of Science and Technology Parks.

"This Park, she added, also achieved the status of Associate of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba."

On her official Twitter account, the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín said: We celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the Scientific Technological Park @CientexMatanzas. Many results have been achieved but there are many more challenges. They have strengths such as youth, beliefs and commitment to the homeland to continue contributing to the development of #Cuba.
