Work exchange between the Ministry of Communications and the University of Computer Science

As part of the celebration of the Educator's Day, on December 22nd, a work exchange took place between the Ministry of Communications (Mincom) and the University of Computer Science (UCI).

Among the topics discussed were the interest in promoting the link between companies, entities and students, from the undergraduate stage; which will contribute to strengthen the software industry, encourage projects based on science and innovation, and enhance the alliance between ETECSA, the Havana Science and Technology Park and the UCI as well as implement the strategy of doctoral training.

The work session, between both boards of directors, strengthened the links in the common commitment to computerize the country, for the sake of a joint projection for digital transformation.

In the conclusions of the meeting, the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín, congratulated all teachers on the Educator's Day, wished them a happy 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, many successes in the new year in which the UCI will reach its 20th anniversary and presented a recognition on behalf of the MINCOM Board of Directors to the prestigious institution, created by our Commander in Chief.

 

The meeting was presided over by the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín and the Dean of the UCI, Raydel Montesino.    Members of the Board of Directors of the Mincom and the University Council of the UCI also participated.
