On the afternoon of Friday, February 7, EXPOCUBA received the visit of the Minister of Communications, companion Jorge Luís Perdomo Di – Lella, to evaluate the Integral Project designed to re-establish the Pavilion that this organism occupies in our premises, as part of the exhibition permanent.

Directors of the Correos de Cuba Business Groups, ETECSA, Informatica y Comunicaciones, Joven Club de Computación and other dependencies of the Ministry were present.

The Minister stated that he was today fulfilling the commitment to re-establish this pavilion with the aim of making this a beautiful space and allowing to offer all services based on the most up-to-date technology.

To give life to the pavilion and to reflect the achievements of the new directives and purposes of the Ministry, to make it become a commercial space of services to the population and recreation and education especially for children and young people and above all to achieve sustainability.

The Minister exchanged with designers and specialists. He toured the Pavilion and its outdoor areas. He specified the tasks and the dates of compliance, with the purpose of reopening the Pavilion in the month of April of the current year.

The director of Expocuba, Pedro Abreú Mujica, told the young Minister the following: “I am happy with this meeting, you have faithfully reflected in your words and orientations the ideas that Fidel had of how the Expocuba pavilions should be, as a permanent exhibition of the work of the Revolution "and added:

“This Pavilion occupies a very good geographical position within EXPOCUBA and has magnificent constructive conditions, what is done here will benefit us a lot, it can support the priorities that our President Miguel Díaz – Canel has raised about exports, substitution of imports, productive chains and the computerization of society ".

During the meeting, the agreements taken in December by the Ministry of Communications and Expocuba were checked.

The director of Expocuba at the end expressed to the Minister and his companions, the gratitude and recognition of the Expocuba collective.
