In the Theater Hall of the Ministry of Communications, workers paid tribute to our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, on the sixth anniversary of his passing.
The activity presided over by the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín, was attended by Antonio Guerrero, Hero of the Republic of Cuba.

From Raúl we learned that "If Fidel Castro is today the most popular leader, the best known and the one who arouses most enthusiasm and adhesions throughout Latin America, it is due not only to the armed struggle of years, but also, and mainly, to the fact that the revolutionary power instituted under his leadership will resolutely and firmly vindicate national sovereignty".

Raul also told us that "Fidel is here because he is needed, because the ship of the Revolution needs a helmsman like him, so that traitors cannot stop the machinery of his Revolution, so that traitors cannot divert the course of the ship of his Revolution. To fulfill the mission of our Revolution, we need Fidel". Next, we give the floor to comrade Mariela Rodríguez Chacón, Director of Cadres, to present the movements of cadres.

"Fidel, the most illustrious son of Cuba in this century", together with his people, achieved "the heroic resistance of the country, when in 1994, the gross domestic product fell by 34.8% and the food supply of Cubans deteriorated significantly; we suffered blackouts of 16 and even 20 hours a day and a good part of the industry and public transport was paralyzed. In spite of this, we managed to preserve public health and education". Then and now, Cuba continued to defend the banners of socialism in the face of the special period, the imperialist blockade, the media campaigns aimed at sowing discouragement in the citizenry. "Our people under the leadership of Fidel gave an unforgettable lesson of firmness and loyalty to the principles of the Revolution."

Fidel taught us that it was possible to defeat the mercenary invasion of Playa Giron in less than 72 hours; to eradicate illiteracy in one year, to proclaim the socialist character of the Revolution 90 miles from the empire, to firmly maintain the unrenounceable principles of our sovereignty without fearing the nuclear blackmail of the United States in the October Crisis, to send solidarity aid to other peoples against colonial oppression, external aggression and racism.

"Fidel's permanent teaching is that it is possible, that man is capable of overcoming the hardest conditions if his will to overcome does not falter." Inspired by Fidel's ideal, Cuba became a medical power, it became a great scientific pole in the fields of genetic engineering and biotechnology; it developed tourism and we resist, yesterday and today, without renouncing the principles and achievements of socialism. Fidel created the People's Power System and guided by his example, that of Raul and Diaz Canel, we will participate in the elections of delegates to the Municipal Assemblies of People's Power this Sunday, November 27.

The people have continued Fidel's work because Fidel is wherever we work (...), wherever the Revolution advances. Fidel is wherever an intrigue is destroyed, wherever a Cuban is working honestly, wherever a Cuban, whoever he may be, is doing good. Wherever a Cuban, whoever he may be, is defending the Revolution, Fidel is there".

Fidel told us that they would come back and they came back, that is why this morning we will have the privilege of talking with comrade Antonio Guerrero, Hero of the Republic of Cuba, about Fidel.

At the end, the call to vote early on Sunday and fulfill our tasks in the mobilization support groups was ratified, as well as to pay homage to the eight medical students unjustly shot by Spanish colonialism, to our economists on their day, to the gesture of the Santiago de Cuba Uprising, to the Centennial generation and to the new pines, making finery of our #VoluntadDeElegir!!!! #YoVotoEl27 #YoSoyFidel.
