The Representatives Assembly of the Ministry of Communications Met

On November 3, the Representatives Assembly met at the Ministry of Communications and was presided over by Marisol Fuentes Ferrer, Secretary General of the National Union of IT, Communication and Electronics Workers (SNTCIE), and also by the minister of Communications, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella.

The Assembly was attended by the representatives from the union’s sections and its leaders, and also by officials from the ministry and the territorial control offices that exist throughout the nation, by means of a video-conference system.
The administrative leadership presented the 2020 budget execution report.
The head of the ministry’s Economic Department, Jessie Perera León, presented the projection of the budget in 2021, focusing on its priorities, and she also informed that it is being approved by the country’s global institutions. Several participants took part in the provinces of #PinardelRío, #SanctiSpíritus and #CiegoDeÁvila, and the Communications vice-minister, Grisel Reyes León, explained that they will work focusing on priorities and making available all management possibilities
Marisol Fuentes Ferrer, Secretary General of #SNTCIE, when referring to the budget’s execution, highlighted the support provided by that sector’s workers to public health services during #Covid19 through the implementation of effective and preventive measures. Concerning the projected budget for 2021, she focused on the importance of analyzing it thoroughly with the workers in the affiliated assemblies. She also indicated that disciplinary regulations should be analyzed with the workers, and provided information about the schedule of the provincial conferences of the #SNTCIE, which are going to take place during the first quarter of 2021. In addition, she communicated the decision of creating the “Mario Muñoz” youth clubs on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the #SNTCIE on July 16, 2020. She also insisted on the fact that a decisive effort must be made to achieve this year’s work goals and propose the workers and staffs that deserve the 50th Anniversary Award of the #SNTCIE and for the awards system established by the Council of State.
The minister of Communications, Jorge Luis Perdomo, acknowledged the workers of #MincomCuba during the Representatives Assembly because of their good results and their uninterrupted work during the #Covid19 pandemic. He explained that the few workers who contracted this disease in the line of duty were treated effectively and have fully recovered. He praised the quality of the reports that were presented and provided information about organizational movements that will strengthen the ministry’s work. Perdomo Di-Lella highlighted the work done by the sector’s inspectors during this stage and referred to the sector’s measures that are part of the country’s economic and social strategy and the Organizational Task. The Minister highlighted the importance of enhancing the attention paid to the workers while transmitting unity, optimism and faith in victory. He also made a call to commemorate the 62nd Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, always respecting the sanitary measures that have been established.
The Agreements between the work staffs of the #SNTCIE and the Ministry of Communications were signed during the closure of the Assembly of Representatives.
