Projects from Cuba nominated for the 2021WSIS Awards

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) published on its website: https://www.itu.int/net4/wsis/stocktaking/Prizes/2021/Vote , the list of the projects nominated for the 2021 Awards of the World Summit on Information Society (WSIS)

This time, Cuba as member country of the ITU, is nominated with three projects:

Category 6: Enabling Environment.
Project: Gender equality in ICT on wheels/IT Union of Cuba

Category 16: Communication Media
Project: CMHS Radio Caibarién. The Voice of Villa Blanca/Cuban Institute of Radio and Television.

Category 17: Ethical dimensions of the Information Society
Project: Construction of gender in the commercial television advertising discourse of Cubavisión Internacional/IT Union of Cuba.

 

Steps to follow for voting:

1.Go to the following website: https://www.itu.int/net4/wsis/stocktaking/Prizes/2021/Vote
Click on VOTE.
2.When the page is displayed, go to the bottom of the page to register on this site. Click on the CLICK HERE option and fill out the registration form.
3.Upon registration, the site sends an email confirmation to the email address provided by you.
4.When you register, the link sent by email opens, enter the username and password with which you registered.
5.And then, the voting page will open.

Important note:

To vote correctly for the World Summit on the Information Society 2021 (WSIS) Awards, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), you must:

1.Vote for only one project in each of the 18 categories.
2.Vote in all categories in order for your vote to be valid.

We recommend you to start voting for category 1 and the site will automatically transfer you to the following categories until you reach 18. This way you can complete the voting process and the projects will get a valid vote.

The voting period is from March 1 through March 31, 2021.
