One of the priorities at the Ministry of Justice (MINJUS) is to advance in the process of computerization of its services as an insurance of better legal services to the population, with as few face-to-face procedures as possible.
In compliance with this objective, it has developed systems and applications such as the update of the IlexMinjus app, which allows individuals to request services online for the cases of the Central Registries of the Sanctioned and Last Will and Testament.
In addition, amidst the legislative schedule and the important changes that the implementation of the new Constitution represents for the economic and social development of the nation, we launched the new Website of the Official Gazette of the Republic, with features that will allow users to access the current regulations from their cell phones.
Likewise, after the results of its testing in the municipality of Mayabeque, the so-called BIENESTAR Platform was deployed throughout the country, for the request and issuance of certifications of the Civil Status Registry, with digital signature and enabled as an electronic document.
In this way, the population can easily access these documents online, through the MINJUS website or app, without having to go to the service units.
In 2020, although tense due to the consequences of the pandemic caused by COVID-19, the intensification of the blockade imposed by the United States and the world economic crisis that hit developing countries the hardest, the MINJUS made a major effort to progress in the computerization of its system and to improve the quality of its public service.
