In the ceremony for the 20th Anniversary of the University of Computer Science (UCI), the Ministry of Communications presented an award to the UCI for its actions in converting computer science, as Fidel said, into a very powerful scientific, economic and even political force in the country.

The award signed by the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín, also reads: On the 20th anniversary of the UCI, congratulations to its staff.

As part of the central activity, the University of Computer Science also made a recognition of Melchor Gil Morell’s work, who is the founding rector of the UCI, an example of an upright and tireless revolutionary.

For his dedication and devotion, Congratulations to Melchor Gil Morell.
