Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín elected as member of the Cuban parliament

 Mayra Arevich Marín, Member of the Central Committee of the PCC and Minister of Communications, among the thirteen new members recently elected to the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba.

Focusing on occupying an equal number of vacant seats in the Cuban Parliament, the new members were sworn in today for such high responsibility, as they took office in the first minutes of the 8th ordinary period of sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament), in its 9th Legislature.

In the presence of Army General Raúl Castro, the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, and Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, the ceremony took place, in which Esteban Lazo, President of the Parliament, officially declared them as new members.

Cuban communicators congratulate our Minister and reaffirm our commitment to continue advancing in the informatization of Cuban society.
