The International Convention and Fair Informática 2022, in its 18th edition, will take place from March 21 to 25 at the Conventions Center in Havana, Cuba and on the virtual platforms that can be found on the website http://www.informaticahabana.cu.

The Scientific Committee remarks the important deadlines: submission of papers on December 23, 2021, acceptance notifications on January 21, 2022; while the submission of works for publication will be on February 11, 2022.
Informática 2022 will feature nine events that will deal with the following areas of knowledge: Telecommunications, Organizational Management and Innovation, IT from the Community; Information and Computer Science, IT Security; Software Industry, Electronics, Automatics and Robotics, Technologies, e-Commerce and Digital Content, Geomatics and Geocuba.

This time the event will grant the option of participating in the activities virtually as well as on-site. This will allow a greater number of people to attend the event, even from different countries, and in addition to that, information and courses will become more accessible.

The following scientific activities are going to be featured in the event: papers (usually in panels), round tables, keynote speeches, and pre-congress and post-congress courses.
There are three Special Sessions that will be part of Informática 2022, which must be noted: History of Information Technology in Latin America and the Caribbean; the Workshop “University-Enterprise in the ICT field” and the Workshop “Digital Transformation and Observatory”.

The Organizing Committee devised a Sponsorship Program with the following categories: Platinum: $20 000. 00 (USD), Gold: $15 000.00 (USD), Silver: $10 000.00 (USD) and Bronze: $5 000.00 (USD).

The Exhibition Fair and the Convention will be held simultaneously, the Fair will just be virtual in this edition and it will be an appropriate context to present projects, technologies, resources, products and services.

The Virtual Business Forum will be part of the Fair, and in it, the participants will be able to present solutions through commercial conferences, workshops and other activities that will promote the exchange of knowledge and the exhibition of new results.

As usual, in every edition of Informática, the Contest “Panorama de las TIC en Cuba” (Overview of ICT in Cuba) exhibits an integrated sample of technologies and solutions that were previously selected through a contest. The deadline for submitting the works will be on November 30, 2021 and the participants will be able to present products, services, integrated solutions and applications conceived and developed in the country focusing on a national or industry solution, they must have quality and be innovative.

These are the requirements to participate in the Contest “Panorama de las TIC en Cuba”:
-The presented projects or solutions must be innovative.
-The contribution must have been originally devised by the presenter and integrated to the country’s reality, and they must make it possible to keep moving forward to technological sovereignty.
-They must be products, services, integrated solutions or applications that represent an important contribution to the country's economic development or to the improvement of the population's life quality.
-They must contribute to the country's strategic goals concerning the substitution of imports and/or exports.

To submit the proposals, the documents must comply with the following requirements:
-PDF digital format
-Arial 12 font
-1.5 spacing.
-No more than 8 pages, and they must be structured as follows: title, main author and their personal information; first and last names, academic training, organization to which they belong, (if it is a private worker, they must include their identification); phone numbers and email address, summary (250 words), introduction (one page); body of the document (technological solution, social and economic impact); conclusions (one page), annexes (including endorsements, they are not taken into account as part of the document's 8 pages). If the proposals include audiovisual materials, they must be personally submitted in the Permanent Office of Informática 2022, at the Ministry of Communications.

The International Convention and Fair Informática is an event that takes place in Cuba every two years, and allows the national and international communities of the ICT industry to obtain information about the progress made in this sector. It also provides a welcoming space for the exchange of ideas between scholars, professional and the general public.
