Cuba hosts its First Internet Governance Forum

On June 25th, started the First Internet Governance Forum at the International Conference Center, in Havana, Cuba. This first forum is organized by the Cuban Informatics Union.

On its first day, the Forum was attended by the Minister of Communications, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella; Anayansi Rodriguez, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of the academic, business and civil society sectors of Cuba.

The opening conference was given by Juan Fernandez Gonzalez, advisor to the Communications Ministry of the Republic of Cuba.

The Minister of Communications participated as an interested party on the development of Internet Governance in Cuba under the leadership of the Cuban Informatics Union.
