América Móvil pondrá en órbita dos nuevos satélites de telecomunicaciones

América Móvil lanzará a través de su subsidiaria Star One dos nuevos satélites de telecomunicaciones con el fin de potenciar su servicio de televisión restringida directa al hogar (DTH), informó el periódico El Financiero.

Gracias a una inversión de 4,3 millones de pesos mexicanos (278.844 dólares), la firma lanzará en julio el satélite C4, que dará cobertura a Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panamá y República Dominicana.

Además, planea poner en órbita el satélite Star One D-1 durante el segundo semestre de 2016, que demandará una inversión de casi seis millones de pesos (389.084 dólares). Ambos dispositivos operarán en las bandas C y Ku.
