On Sunday, September 25, the Code of Families, approved by the National Assembly of the People's Power last July, will be submitted to a popular referendum.

Recognizing and protecting the vulnerable sectors of society, the rights of the elderly, as well as the possibility for all people to found a family and get married, are among the main provisions of the draft Code of Families.

Regarding the Code of Families, the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín, on her official Twitter account expressed:

The new #CodigoDeLasFamilias in #Cuba expands protection to all, from childhood and adolescence to the elderly. It privileges love, understanding and affection. Next September 25, #YoVotoSí #CódigoSí.
