Beijing, April 30th. As the culmination of his work visit to the People's Republic of China, the Cuban Communications Minister, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, met on Tuesday with the Vice President of the National Development and Improvement Commission of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Lin Nianxu, at the headquarters of that important Chinese governmental institution.

In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, both parties exchanged information on the progress of their bilateral relations and their cooperative projects in the ICT field. Both officials agreed to work in a synced way to move on to the next stage of their bilateral cooperation in this field for the benefit of both of their peoples.

The main goal of the Cuban Minister's visit, which began on April 25, was to participate in the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, an event in which he presented the Cuban experience regarding the implementation of the Chinese Digital TV Standard in Cuba, as well as its challenges and perspectives.

During his stay in the Asian giant, the Cuban minister also held meetings with senior Chinese governmental leaders, highlighting the one held with the Minister of Industry and Information Technology of China and the Vice Minister of the General Office for Cyberspace Management of China, as well as with other officials from several Chinese institutions involved in the execution of important projects related to information technologies.
