On April 7, at the Ministry of Communications, subcommittee 7 of Software and Systems Engineering approved the Quality Model for the Development of IT Applications (MCDAI) as a Cuban standard.
On its official page on Facebook, the Subcommittee 7 of Software and Systems Engineering published: “#MCDAI approved as a Cuban standard by Subcommittee 7. The following organizations were among the participants: #MINCOM, #CALISOFT, #DATYS, #GEIC, #DESOFT, #TECNOMÁTICA, #SEGURMÁTICA, #SOFTEL, #CUJAE. This standard is the result of almost 10 years of scientific research, which is summarized in 11 master's degree dissertations, 25 scientific articles and the endorsement of its successful implementation in 4 organizations. Now it will be submitted before the #ONN (Cuban National Standardization Office) to make its approval official. Congratulations. #VamosPorMás #CubaInformatiza”
Moreover, the Vice Minister of Communications, Grisel Reyes Leon, posted on her personal Facebook profile the following words: “Today, Subcommittee 7 approved the proposals of standards regarding MCDAI. This model is the result of scientific research, 11 dissertations and more 20 scientific publications. Its accuracy was checked through pilot tests as part of real projects. It obtained the favorable judgment of all 4 organizations that were endorsed by a level of that model. The implementation of a Cuban standard will allow us to have a certification mechanism in the near future. #CubaInformatiza and #VamosXMás”
