The Vietnamese Prime Minister, Nguyen Xuan Phúc, received in Hanoi the Cuban Communications Minister, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, and the delegation that accompanies him on his work visit to the Asian country.

As part of the program, the Cuban minister also met with his Vietnamese counterpart, Major General Nguyen Manh Hung, with whom he reviewed bilateral agreements in the sector and new exchange opportunities.

Both parties ratified the interest to continue working on implementing and monitoring the agreements on information and communications signed during the visit of the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong, to Cuba in 2018, and the ones signed during the visit that was paid last year to this country by the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel.

They also expressed the common will to fulfill the commitments agreed upon during the 36th Session of the Intergovernmental Commission, which took place in Havana last November.

On behalf of the Cuban Government, Perdomo Di-Lella will attend the state funerals for the former President Le Duc Anh, who made important contributions to the development of the close relations between both countries.

The Minister's agenda also includes a visit to the Hoa Lac Technology Park, outside the Vietnamese capital, and meetings with companies of the ICT field.
