On Saturday, as a tribute to the half-millennium of the foundation of the Cuban capital, a postage stamp was canceled at the Alicia Alonso Great Theater of Havana.

Reinaldo García Zapata, president of the Provincial Assembly of the People' s Power, and member of the Central Committee; Feliz Julio Alfonso López, Director of the Office of the Historian of Havana; the Minister of Communications, Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella and Carlos Ascencio Valerino, president of the Cuban Postal Business Group, performed the cancellation.

The stamp has twelve facepieces and bears in its image the coat of arms of the city, and the cache shows the Office of the Historian of Havana.

The meeting was attended by Yuniasqui Crespo Baquero, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Havana, and Brigadier General of the reserve Delsa Esther (Teté) Pueblas Viltres, Vice President of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution.
