New Member of the Cuban Parliament elected in Camagüey

The Minister of Communications Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, was elected as a Deputy to the National Assembly of the People's Power for the municipality of Camagüey, one of the 13 municipalities that make up the province of the same name.

In an extraordinary session of the Municipal Assembly of the People's Power of the city of Camagüey, the member of the Council of Ministers was elected unanimously to occupy the deputy position.
Perdomo  was appointed as Minister of Communications the 21st of July, 2018 in the First Ordinary Period of Sessions of the IX  Legislature of the National Assembly of the People's Power.

Previously , he was the First Vice-minister of the Ministry of Communications. He participated in the Docto's Degree program  in the specialty of Microelectronics  in  University of Applied Sciences of  Münster, in Germany, obtaining  in 1999 the title of Doctor in Technical Sciences.

In 2009 and 2012, he received a Public Administration Diploma, and a National Security and Defense Diploma from the Postgraduate School for Government and State Officials and the National Defense Academy respectively.
