Grisel Reyes León and Dr. Jeiller Carmona Brito, National President of the Youth Work Brigades (BTJ) signed a work agreement that will allow the active participation of young people who research, develop and apply new technologies and implement the results in production and services.

The agreement will facilitate the organization and guarantee the stability, reliability, vitality, security and invulnerability of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) networks; national integration and the development of new and improved products and services that contribute to achieving technological sovereignty; promote massive learning and permanent re-qualification in the use of ICTs in the community and in society in general.

The BTJ, through its provincial and municipal representations, will support the creation of Youth Technical Brigades in the MINCOM entities, where there is technical potential, among other missions agreed upon according to its corporate purpose.

In turn, the Ministry of Communications will guide the participation of young people in the solution of problems identified in each entity and in the priorities of the Institution as the governing body of ICTs in the country through its assigned and subordinated budgetary units.

Both parties will promote the participation of young people who have been awarded the "Forjadores del Futuro" (Builders of the Future) seal, as well as in spaces for the preparation of leaders and young people in the sector through exchanges with managers and personalities, based on topics that are of priority or concern to them, expanding their preparation and knowledge in scientific-technical development. In addition, they will work to strengthen the movement's structures at the grassroots level by establishing a joint work system with the organization and promote through its processes, environmental management and events the improvement of environmental awareness, culture and education.
