On October 31, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Communications, an excellent meeting took place with the young people from the organization, chaired by the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín, and with the participation of executives of the central body.

The exchange included the projection of the audiovisual "Somos Continuidad", the presentation and discussion of the Sociopolitical Report, the approval of the work guidelines for 2023 and the closing moment with an emotional audiovisual that summarizes what the young people did during 2022.

It is important to highlight the main activities carried out by the Ministry's youth during 2022, in which they actively participated. Among them, the coordination of the internal computerization project of the central body and the Assurance and Services Unit (UAS); meetings of the Minister and Vice Ministers with the young people of the organization by areas to address the specific problems of each youth group; the celebration of the anniversaries of the UJC and OPJM; the exchange with the young scientists in charge of developing the vaccines against Covid-19, among others related to their support for the Revolution, the condemnation of the imperialist blockade and other aggressions against Cuba.

The young people were very interested in visiting the Fidel Castro Study Center; hiking on the "El Taburete" hill, in homage to Ernesto Che Guevara; being linked to the work of the Apostle in the "Yugo y Estrella" Martí Youth Club; as well as strengthening the Office for the Study of Fidel Castro's Ideas at MINCOM. 

In relation to the training of young people, MINCOM’s administration, together with the political and mass organizations, organized courses of interest, according to the specialty of the organizational areas. Among these we can mention the Master's Degrees in Management and Master's Degrees in Industrial Engineering and Processes stand out. Moreover, courses on Fundamentals of Cybersecurity and Interoperability in information systems. The 18th edition of the International Convention and Fair Informática 2022, an ideal training space for ICT professionals, was a very positive event in that sense.

Among other topics, the continuity of the general plan for the work with young people and reserves was discussed.

During the meeting, spontaneity and enthusiasm prevailed, in addition to the very active communication of the young people and managers in terms of proposals, solutions and the willingness of the top management of the organization to support and work together with the young people.
