On July 4, the Minister of Communications, Mayra Arevich Marín, through a national video-conference, supervised all the measures that have been implemented in the Communications system to face the tropical storm Elsa.

This is how the Vice Minister, Grisel Reyes León, reported about it on her official accounts on Facebook and Twitter: "Early in the morning, the preparation of the communications system to face #Elsa was checked, as well as the actions to decrease the possible damage that the communications infrastructure could suffer, and the assurance of the availability of power generators to ensure the network's vitality so that the population can be informed.
