Headed by the governor of the province of Artemisa Ricardo Concepción Rodríguez and the Minister of Communications, a check-up was carried out to evaluate the recovery of the sector in the province.

In general, the main damage was identified in the outside plant of Etecsa, in poles, cables and downspouts due to fallen trees. The most affected municipalities are Bahía Honda and San Cristóbal.

As a result of the effects of the hurricane, mobile telephony also has interruptions, since the batteries have a limited time of use.

In some places with energy backup there are radio bases in operation and in these cases it is important to make a rational use of the services. We are working on implementing alternatives to reestablish the service.

In the case of Joven Club and Correos de Cuba, the effects are minimal, at the level of the roof blanket, fallen fences and glass marquetry.
Radiocuba was not affected.

The minister reiterated that the priority is to recover services as soon as possible.
