Maceo and Che, two great men of Cuban history

Today, June 14, the 95th and 178th anniversaries of the birthdays of Comandante Ernesto Guevara, El Guerrillero Heroico, Che, and General Antonio Maceo, El Titán de Bronce.

History has been in charge of uniting these two brave and honest men, who left a deep mark in the struggle for the freedom of Cuba and all Latin America.
The historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz,:
«Maceo era ya un personaje legendario cuando el Che vino al mundo. Si uno afirmó que quien intentara apropiarse de Cuba recogería el polvo de su suelo anegado en sangre si no perecía en la lucha, el otro anegó con su sangre el suelo de Bolivia tratando de impedir que el imperio se apoderara de América. Ambos fueron invasores de Oriente a Occidente; ambos murieron en combate; ambos son hoy símbolos insuperables de valor e intransigencia revolucionaria».
