As part of the computerization of society and the implementation of e-Government, it is essential to boost the creation of governmental websites for all municipalities.

137 municipalities out of 168 already have governmental websites.
The provinces of Havana, Cienfuegos, Sancti Spiritus, Ciego de Avila, Las Tunas, Holguin, Granma, Santiago de Cuba, Guantanamo and Isla de la Juventud already have public websites.

The Head of the Computerization Office at the Ministry of Communications, Magda Brito, provided an update on her Twitter profile about the check-up on the implementation of e-Government and e-Commerce in the provinces:
The Vice Minister of #Communications @Ernesto_RHdez met with representatives from provincial governments and Territorial Offices of @MINCOMCuba and exchanged information on e-Commerce and e-Government, which are parts of the #Computerization needed in our territories.
