Among the most recent contributions to the computerization of society in the province of Holguin is the continued deployment of third and fourth generation technology (3G and 4G), which already has a presence in 43 sites in the municipalities of Holguin, Banes, Mayari, Cueto, Moa, Antilla, Banes, Rafael Freyre and Gibara.

In spite of the limitations of resources due to financial and commercial restrictions imposed by the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba and the crisis generated by the new coronavirus pandemic, the Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) extends with 192 new capacities the availability of the Nauta Hogar service in the Alcides Pino and La Gravilla neighborhoods, both in the city of Holguín.

According to the summary report for the Territorial Council of the Ministry of Communications (MINCOM), ETECSA's commercial offices in Antilla and Mayarí were expanded and modernized, resulting in the incorporation of new services.

This entity incorporated two of its units to the network of stores that operate in USD, one in the Business Center, in the provincial capital, and the other in the Moa Telecommunications Center.

Likewise, work is being done to increase the speed of connectivity to an important group of state entities (249), of which only 45 remain to receive this improvement.

In order to contribute to the progress of the computerization program, working commissions were created, among them the e-commerce commission, responsible for the analysis of service payments by this means, which are considered low, so measures will be applied to increase them, such as promotion and dissemination.
