The Head of Foreign Affairs Office of the Cuban Ministry of Communications meets with the Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union

Geneva, September 27, 2019. Isabel Greenup Lozada, Head of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Cuban Ministry of Communications, meets with Mr. Houlin Zhao, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), within the framework of the extraordinary session of that organization's Council.

The participants discussed issues related to the progress achieved in the computerization process of Cuban society, as well as the efforts made by the Cuban government to guarantee greater access to the Internet for its citizens in a safe way, despite the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed against Cuba by the United States of America.

In addition, the Secretary General confirmed his participation in the 18th edition of the International Convention and Fair Informática 2020, which will be held from March 16 to 20, 2020, in Havana, Cuba.
