In Cuba we know what rights we have defended since the Revolution. Our country is committed to building a more just society and to respecting human rights despite the US blockade, which is considered an impediment to its development. In our country, the right of citizens to access information is fully recognized and protected.

The Constitution establishes that all persons have the right to request and receive from the State truthful, objective and timely information, and to access information generated by State organs and entities.

Cuba continues to make progress in the computerization of services to the population; the computerization of society constitutes an additional assurance to promote access to information.
