The Cuban First Deputy Minister of Communications, Wilfredo Gonzalez Vidal, is participating in the 6th World Internet Conference in Wuzhen, China. The gathering, which is taking place under the theme of "Intelligence, Connectivity, Openness and Cooperation: Jointly Build a Community of Shared Future in Cyberspace", will be held from October 20 to 22.

While the United States intensifies the unfair blockade in the field of telecommunications for Cuba, the 6th World Internet Conference promotes equality and mutual benefit in this sector, without any country being able to hinder the development of another.

Wilfredo Gonzalez Vidal, Cuban first deputy minister of Communications, presented the challenges and the progress of the Cuban computerization process during the Ministerial Forum of the World Internet Conference. He also denounced the blockade of the U.S.A. against Cuba.

In an interview with the Chinese channel CGTN, the First Deputy Minister highlighted the fraternity between China and Cuba and the collaboration in the areas of telecommunications and digital TV.
