Safer Internet Day (SID) is an event promoted by the INSAFE/INHOPE network with the support of the European Commission, which is held every February with the aim of promoting a safe and positive use of digital technologies, especially among children and young people.

SID is celebrated on the second day of the second week of the second month of the year. On this occasion it is this Tuesday, February 9 under the slogan: "A better Internet starts with you: more connected, more secure", and invites you to join the global movement, participate and take advantage of the best of the Internet to bring people together.

This day not only aims to create a safer Internet, but a better Internet, to make it a space where we all make use of technology in a responsible, respectful, critical and creative way.

This call is aimed at children and young people, parents and guardians, teachers, educators and social workers, as well as companies and policy makers to actively participate in the creation of a better Internet.
