Majagua will become the ninth municipality in the province of Ciego de Ávila whose inhabitants will have the possibility of using the fourth generation technology known as 4G.

In order to guarantee this service, a team from the provincial Telecommunications Company proceeded to install a new radio base, which is located on the roof of the Simón Reyes Hernández Urban Basic Secondary School in the main town.

José Ricardo Blanco Gómez, head of the local telephone center, said that the deployment of 4G technology, in addition to providing greater speed in sending data, it strengthens the 2G and 3G technology previously installed.

The installation and operation of the new radio base in the southwest of the city is part of the Cuban government's program to increase the quality of communications to guarantee the country's computerization and the enjoyment of its inhabitants.
