Cancelación postal por el Centenario del Primer Vuelo Inaugural de la Aerolínea Cubana

Este 30 de octubre fue conmemorado el centenario del primer vuelo inaugural de la principal Compañía Aérea Cubana, reconocida por la historia de la aeronáutica mundial como la aerolínea comercial pionera de #Cuba y Latinoamérica, primera en brindar servicios de vuelos comerciales regulares nacionales y antecesora de nuestra actual aerolínea bandera Cubana de Aviación.

La ceremonia tuvo lugar en el Aeropuerto Internacional “José Martí” de La Habana, e incluyó una cancelación postal especial de primer día, efectuada por Armando Daniel López, presidente del Instituto de Aeronáutica Civil de Cuba (IACC); y Eldis Vargas Camejo, vicepresidente primero del Grupo Empresarial Correos de Cuba.

La estampilla, diseñada por Ernesto Gamboa Aira, tiene un valor facial de 90 centavos de pesos cubanos, impresos en multicolor, que recrea una escena del vuelo del avión Farman F60, uno de los modelos iniciales utilizados por la compañía aérea, que tuvo además el encargo de cubrir la ruta entre La Habana, Cienfuegos y Santa Clara; además de reflejar en un segundo plano un hangar y el mapa de Cuba donde se señaliza la referida ruta aérea.
