Cuba celebra este 5 de junio el Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente. El lema del Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente de 2020 es 'La hora de la naturaleza', un tema con el que Naciones Unidas, pide a los ciudadanos que escuchen los mensajes que manda el planeta. Además, insta a aprovechar las tecnologías disponibles para reconducir el modelo de desarrollo y bienestar y reactivar la economía tras la crisis de la COVID-19.
