The Telecommunications Agent promotes and retails products and services that are wholesaled to him/her by the Cuban Telecommunications Enterprise (ETECSA), having previously signed a contracts with this organization. The obligations of these workers in the eyes of ETECSA are defined in the agency contracts.

This resolution was passed on October 25th, 2016, and it was published on October 31st, 2017 in the No. 47 Extraordinary Gazette altogether with Resolution No. 271 dated October 18th, 2017 from the Ministry of Communications, making new modifications to the Telecommunications Agent Regulations.

Objectives:
a) Meeting the demands of telecommunications services and products at the community level;
b) Increasing customer attention services effectiveness of ETECSA's commercial units.
c) Providing an employment source in the category of self-employment.
