Lead by Carlos Asencio Valerino, president of Correos de Cuba and its vice-president, Eldis Vargas Camejo, along with the main officials of the OSDE (Higher Organization of Business Management), and the general directors of the 20 enterprises that make up this Business Group, on January 23rd and 24th, took place the first Expanded Management Board of the Cuban postal organization of 2019, at the Escuela de Correos (Postal School).
Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, Minister of Communications, Ana Julia Marine López and Rafael Solís Martínez, Vice-ministers of Communications, and Marisol Fuentes Ferrer, General Secretary of the National Communications Workers Union, were present in different moments of the two works sessions of this Management Board, amongst other public officials.
Víctor Gaute López, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party, through audio-conference, greeted the main executives of Correos de Cuba, he also recognized and congratulated all its workers whom, he said, are in the front line of combat, in the battles that are being fought by our Revolution.
The party leader made a call upon the workers of Correos de Cuba, to take 3 100 000 tabloids of the new Constitution to every corner of the country, a Constitution that will be voted on by the Cuban people the next 24th of February.
This Board's agenda included a very detailed analysis and debate of the economic results of the Correos de Cuba OSDE, and its enterprises in 2018, as well as the workings of postal operations, commercial management, services quality, technological assurance and logistics, citizen attention programs, and institutional communication.
During this Management Board it was informed that in 2018 the gross sales of the Correos de Cuba Business Group exceeded the expectations by 5.1%, which can be translated into 11.9 million pesos above the expected amount and, for the first time, since this Higher Organization of Business Management was created 5 years ago, its 20 enterprises fulfilled the annual economic plan.
