Graduated as a Computer Science Engineer from the José Antonio Echeverría Higher Polytechnic Institute. He has uninterruptedly worked for 14 years in the communications sector. During that period of time, he held several positions at the Cuban Postal Company (Correos de Cuba), until he was appointed Vice-president of Telematics. Subsequently, he also played different roles at the company Desoft before being promoted to Informatization Vice-president. In 2004, he was designated as General Director of the Office for Computer Networks Security (OSRI).
He has represented Cuba in several international events, including the Group of Governmental Cyber-security Experts of the United Nations, from 2016 to 2017.
He is also one of the graduates of the 1st Edition of the Public Administration Postgraduate Course of the Ernesto Che Guevara Graduate School for Government and State Officials.
He was promoted to General Director of Informatics of the Ministry of Communications through the resolution No. 231/2018 of the Minister of Communications, dated December 7th, 2018.
